Hey people m back after a sabbatical, like they say there is always lull before the strom so that's it and as i am back it will be full time blogging. Now the inevitable question - WHAT TO WRITE.Well this question did the rounds of my mind for 4 yrs but inspite of jogging my grey cells i was back to square one.People too were instigating me to come up with something but all in vain. But now that i have come back here i have got something interesting.Something lip- smacking and drool-worthy..Yupp u got it right - FOOD and who better to write about it then a foodie like me.So let's get started on a gastronomical journey. As everyone knows Delhi is known as a FOODIE'S PARADISE and whenever we think of Delhi's food the bylanes of Chandni Chowk and the piping hot paranthas and delectable chats r the one that come to our mind but Delhi's food is not just about all that coz someone who lives in south delhi and can't manage to go there would surely not b left in the lurch as south delhi has it's own hubs which give u equally good eating experience.

              SOUTH DELHI'S AMAZING EATING  JOINTS

As promised above following are the awesome eating joints in South Delhi

  1.            KHAN CHACHA

Though this eatery now has  outlets in south delhi mall and Cannaught Place  m talking about the one from where it all started and became famous.Yes the one at the posh Khan Market. This quite old eatery serves one of the best kebabs and rolls this side of delhi. The juicy, succelent, melt in the mouth kebabs and fantastic rolls have the people thronging it every now and then and it's popularity can b gauged from it's elite clientele-the celebrities who come all the way just to have a piece of the infamous Kathi Rolls.

2.          KHANDANI PAKODE WAALA:-

In the forty years of its existence, a simple Delhi snack shop has managed to carve its place in the city’s gastronomic terrain. Known as Khandani Pakode Wala, the unpretentious little shop is located between the Bhikaji Cama flyover and the Sarojini Nagar crossing on the Ring Road. It is the one which has taken Delhi's street food pakodas to a  new height. It not only serves popular pakodas like besan ke pakode, paneer, aaloo and gobhi pakodas but also unusal baigan ke pakode.Crispy from outside and yummy from inside. These r a must try.

3.               NAGPAL

Located in this famous punjabi locality of south delhi.Nagpal is not an eatery but a small kiosk in Amar Colony which probably people would not have noticed had it not been for it's out of the world Chhola Batura's and Samosas. The done to perfection crispy, fluffy soft baturas sometimes with paneer stuffing are served with spicy chholas.Having tried them so many times i can vouch for it's taste.

4.         THE BIG CHILL CAFE

When it comes to Italian food the one name that tops it all among south delhi restaurents is THE BIG CHILL CAFE.Though originally located in East of Kailash markes. It is damn popular in Khan Market and now has also opened an outlet in the mall. Not that a true Delhiite (or anyone who knows about the existence of Delhi) needs to be told about Big Chill, but for those who do not know for some reason- GO THERE ASAP! A to-die-for shake, a huge portion of pasta and a scrumptious dessert (Mississippi Mudpie Ohyeah) – one definitive meal that’ll get you hooked for life. Adorned with posters of Classic Hollywood flicks and vintage product commercials, there’s not a single dull moment in Big Chill.

Well there are many more. These are not all but currently m focussing on only four. Will write about others in days to come.
                   Till then  -  Adios,Amigos.
